B.C. Rich first unveiled it's new 7 string series
at the 1999 NAMM Show in Los Angeles. This line of guitars is a classic, neckthru design, the exclusive invention
of master luthier, Bernie Rico, President and Founder of B.C. Rich. One of the many innovations of this fantastic
new guitar, it incorporates hollowed bodied tone chambers placed in strategic locations, for a crunchy, heavy metal
sound. The guitar also has a 25.4 inch scale neck, 25 frets, a nut width of 1 15/16", and a 16 inch neck radius,
Quadmatic bridges are standard, but Licensed Double Floyd Rose Tremolos will be optional.
Our 7 string guitars are unlike any 7 string guitars on the market to date because we did more than just
add an extra string to a solid body Fender Style 6 string guitar", says Bernie Rico Jr., Vice President, and
B.C. Chief of Guitar Operations. "Our neckthru 7 string bodies were designed exclusively for the low B, and
not high A tuning", a feature which is demanded by B.C. Rich heavy Metal players," Rico continued. Other
configurations are now available upon request.
These guitars will also offer the option of their world famous signature B.C. Rich Active Electronics, which
provide a guitar player with a full spectrum of sound that has never been achieved in a standard 7 string
guitar.
